Calling Catholic Artists Worldwide

Do not underestimate the power of ink and paper!

Writing isn't easy. Writing books is even harder. Having said that, I'm a much better writer than a speaker (anyone who has seen my videos will attest to that). But we all have our specific gifts and talents which ought to be put to good use. Cherish what you do have and don't waste time lamenting what you don't, I always say!

All right, I don't always say that. In fact, I've spent a lot of time (okay, quite a lot of time) regretting what could have or should not have been, and running after the unattainable. We all have our flaws.

But we all have our very own unique and (most importantly) God-given gifts and abilities as well. And these should be put to use. And to good use at that. Remember the parable of the talents? (read Mt 25:14-30 for ease of reference). No one said it was going to be easy. But it doesn't have to be impossible either.

When I first started taking some personal notes back in 2017, I had no idea or intention that three years later, I will have published my first book. (Okay, self-published, but still...). And now, just as I brought this website to life, I have just completed writing three novels within six months (it started off as one but turned into a trilogy along the way).

But enough about me, let's talk about the purpose of this website. Let's be frank, the Church (and by that I mean the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church founded by Jesus Christ in 33 AD) is in dire straits. Between disgraceful scandals, unfaithful and tepid priests and an increasingly lax laity, things aren't looking too well for the beloved spouse of Christ here on earth.

While the Church Triumphant is sending us (much needed) support from above, the Church Militant here below is struggling. And boy, what a struggle! In short, we need new recruits. And talented ones at that. We need artists and lots of them if we ever hope to compete in this ongoing cultural war that seeks to plunge us into a (not so) "great reset" and recreate the earth and its inhabitants in the image of a few power-hungry masterminds who have rejected the Creator and worship the creation (i.e. themselves) instead.

This war, which we cannot hope to win by numbers (at least not for several generations), needs to be fought, not with guns (although we shouldn't dispense with those either) but with pencils, pens, keyboards, cameras and paintbrushes. We need to get creative and start... creating! Create what? you might ask. Well, anything! Paintings, music, literature, films, you name it! And most importantly, you make it!

As always, time is of the essence, so don't be idle. Let us not wait around to see our Creator, Redeemer and Judge face to face and for Him to list out all the things you could have done yet failed to do.

This website is only meant to get you started. A springboard from which you can plunge and delve into your own projects, whatever those might be. Sacred Scripture and Tradition are our templates. Use them to stay focused and on track.

So, get creative and share your God-given talents with the world! You have more to offer than you might think. The possibilities are endless. Your time here on earth, is not...

May God bless you on this new journey of Christian Creativity. Allow God to give you the grace and He will guide your pen to paper. God bless!
